Namibia is named after the Namib desert.
This desert, lying along the south western coast of Africa, is 1 530 km long
and 50 to 140 km wide. It is the oldest desert in the world!

Food : A great international variety of high quality is available. Game meat is popular. Namibian beer is brewed in German tradition from the purest ingredients and is famous.
Weather : Namibia is a land of sunshine. The sun shines 300 days a year here. The mild desert climate brings cool nights. During summer, October to February, the temperature is 10 C at night and 20 to 34 C during the day. November to March is rainy season, if it rains. In winter, March to September, temperatures range from 5 C to 26 C.
